Reduce &Re-use

I’ve been meaning to write about it, but I forgot.. before I forget again, here goes.

I was on one of my evening walks the other week when I found my favourite pears in a roadside shop. I love pears, the Indian variety mind you, not the crunchy yellowish chinese or what they call chinese, they have in the market alongside the green juicy indian ones, so I stopped to buy.  After picking and choosing, handing over the basket to the fruit seller, he asked me for a bag. I didn’t have any at the time, therefore he refused to sell me those pears.

I smiled at him, was very happy that he refused me the pears because I didn’t bring a bag along with me. I quickly ran back home, brought a bag back to buy my pears. it felt really good to meet him, and meet him every two days after that doing what he is doing.

he is doing his part, I did mine. We all should do our little bit to reduce waste and reuse.

  1. I completely agree. Long ago, when I was growing up, this was the case. My mom always travelled with a shopping bag ( cloth mind you often made at home from a recycled curtain or bed cover) in her purse at ALL times

    Great thought chechi penne!!!!
