Friday Gyaan #2

Very true, it is one of my dreams to sit still, and also sit quietly, which I manage to do, at many places, but then it lasts only for until my resolve breaks. That’s my case. What’s yours.

Nowadays, even if we are not in the company of people, there is this everyday thing called internet which makes that instant connection possible.

Question: When is it that I am all by myself?

Answer: When I switch off my data πŸ˜€

According to me, we all need our little time with ourselves even when we have people around us to talk and listen to, those moments are very important, I think that’s the reason why people meditate. It is a me-time. Even while people are reading, that’s me-time too. When people are working on some sole hobby, that’s me-time to. What I’m trying to get at is, we all need to figure out how to live with ourselves, and not have withdrawal symptoms when nobody pings or chats, or takes our calls because that seems to be the trend these days, once social media has come over us.

Should I take part in A-Z, 26 Days challenge! I’m thinking. since everything happens last minute in my case, this will also be decided last minute I guess! all best to everyone participating. I did complete it last year.Β

  1. Oh it does help…… All day, i am surrounded by people. People, I need to impress, some people I need to get my things done, some people who just waste time. It gets really necessary to sit quietly all by myself……..

  2. So true, Pinnish. (Btw I wonder what your actual name is!) In today’s world of instant connectivity, it’s hard to find “me-time” and peace. Oh and about the A to Z challenge -Avassanam enthayi decision? πŸ˜€

    1. Wonder not πŸ˜‰ Pins short for pinky. Friends call me pinnish when I put up photos of my curls and frizzy hair and wide grin πŸ™‚ and unpinnish when these two traits don’t appear πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ž

  3. Yes it does … I am a walker and I cherish the moments of solitude to take in nature and just enjoy my time alone … often I write that day’s blog post in my head as I stride along. The funny thing is that I work from home and live alone … you’d think I’d be glad to glom onto someone for some conversation – nope. Walking is precious “me time” – we all need “me time” to refresh our soul.

    1. Hi there Linda,

I agree with the me-time walking part, and writing out the blog post in my head part … I get many things organized in my head when I walk or rather I take off in a walk when I feel confused about anything… Welcome here Linda …

      1. Thanks for the warm welcome – just read your post about bananas – so fancy, and, I am lazy I guess as I like to slice my bananas onto a peanut butter sandwich. Bananas are one of nature’s best foods no matter how you slice, er … enjoy ’em.
