I don’t write very frequently on any surface. I type though, which in turn has become the easier way of input of thoughts, anywhere. So I look for a keypad or a keyboard. Therefore when it comes to using chalk or pen or even the pencil the fingers begin to twitch, they think of a finger ache that may follow a short span of writing. For that reason alone, I may just walk into this shop and order something. The neat handwritten menu + the drawing, it was a local tea stall, calling it a cafe changes the picture completely, with tables and chairs under the surrounding trees beside the road.
I wondered what could be the reason behind writing the menu in three languages and also drawing some of them out. For those who can read and understand the drawing, there is always steaming noodles for a quick snack. There is also a cold coffee, but I guess the rest of the tea/coffee/juices and shakes are only for those who can read anything other than English 😂 and imagine what they would be!
The tea was bad! But anything for the handwriting I’d say 😎
