#TalkingTuesday

For the last couple of years, my phone is like a page of #foodporn 😁😂 It is my private little hobby, but then I realized on a trip home that a number of people, friends and relatives, included followed my FB food updates, and they discussed and even had an opinion about it. When I said the fish there is good, somebody said, “I remember the fish pic that month” I went from a pinkish to a bluish. I update my fb covers as and when I click, and love a particular food, akin to the posts on this blog. But on that trip home I realized people whom I thought were not interested in my life, fb or food, people on my friend’s list who never once liked any of my posts, people who were just there because there were on the friend’s list, knew the content of the pictures and the series on my covers! Imagine my flattered horror I was being part of! They lurked and dangerously, these lurkers even had an opinion about my cover pics. haw!

Many were amused at the food pics, a few were angry and thought of it as a vice because some of the food pictures went up when they were hungry and had no recourse or access to that food at that time. And then there were a few very close friends who said, “why torture us like this” I found those remarks genuine enough and devoid of sarcasm. In order not to cause mass world damage, I decided that, I’ll decrease my frequency of the food pics. The pic up today is this one, a cake my cousin baked and decorated for our nephew’s birthday.

Sometimes some plates need to be under the spotlight 🙂

  1. That looks like somebody took aderol, or was OCD, or an OCD person took aderol; then, they sorted all of the colors of fruity pebbles from about 5 different boxes and baked a cake.

                    4. since it a big group. usually all know how it is, so less of trouble.. that’s one reason why I love big families… you learn a lot from within the family itself..

                    6. It is a lot of confusion.. Once when my niece who was then about 6 or 7 years came down, my aunt introduced us to her as cousins. She immediately remarked saying not mine, my mother’s. And you are my grand aunt .. 😂😂

                    7. That’s must be really confusing… I just tell my niece to intro me as aunt;) a little simpler for the kids and easy for me to digest hehehe…

                    8. Exactly…. But when somebody from childhood starts calling me chechi that’s what is the term for elder sis.. I don’t mind. Among my cousins. Outsiders, I don’t go about making brothers and sisters so why do they call me or expect me to call them, but then nobody understands that logic. I tell them twice or thrice, if they don’t comply I lose respect!
