Acronimous …

Have you noticed that people become very irriated when somebody speaks against their religion? Many take it personally and transform themselves into foot soldiers and get ready for a fight. The fight takes an ugly turn especially when there is a disagreement. Now, why do they have to be so acronimous to such discussions. Why such anger and bitterness that they start hurling insults at the other person for bringing up a valid point. I don’t understand. Do you?

    1. True. But… When there is a discussion where the crusades of the middle ages are likened to religious terrorism of today, is there a need for Christians to take it to heart and defend it? Similarly, does a practisong Hindu need to feel bitter if I say that taking away clothes of women is not done, god or human. I’m just asking .. I find people becoming angry at such so was thinking why…

  1. Because they don’t understand they are human first and then Christian or hindu or any other ..
Not sure why give that importance to religion . what does it takes to be nice ..

        1. There you go.. Why do we have to give explanations in the first place. And why are other people so bktheres about the reasons behind our faith practises .. Isn’t that giving explanation bit a botheration

          1. I realised the fact that people who made religion are clever ,they knew how to train human minds, I just ignore talkn about religion as I dnt want to get in to a verbal fight.

                1. It is a question of faith or practising a ritual. Some do, some don’t , some do them differently. Why worry or why try to impose. And then start fights on a flaw! Curiosity I think, more than boldness

                    1. Perceptive as in? The new gen i see around me well, most of them are quite closed. Some have read bits and pieces… A handful have read more and are willing to understand. I don’t know pulse somehow is not that perceptive.

                    2. In depth knowledge is somehow not seen as a requitement! So perception also goes down notches! Is what I think. Not generalizing but that seems to be the trend in the wikipedia and 4g age

  2. Most of the people get hyper when you speak about religion or specifically, of the flaws and malpractices (every religion has that) of the particular religion they follow. Marx rightly said, it’s the opium of the masses. And, I would like to add, of the classes as well…

  3. I have to question if it’s really about religion, or egos? People’s Ego’s are a personal matter aren’t they? Religion is a mechanism used to control people. Why do people want so badly to control others?? Oops, I shouldn’t be speaking about this nevermind.

    1. Mm! Better if egos are a personal matter, but they hardly are. I thought religion is also very personal like the ego. So if both of them are hurt then people react in untoward ways. Now that you make that connection

Religion – control: religion is a form of organizing people like the Indian varna system. Need to think. Could you explain

      Liked by 2 people

    2. I think the concept of control initially came from ignorance and illiteracy. Only the priests knew the language of the scriptures, therefore it was upon them to interpret them. A power comes with the interpretation, so does control because the priests then become advicers, empaths, consultants, they being to fit in to many such roles. Control neednot always be visible.. It can happen in small ways, as influence, as a friendly advice ..as dependency.. I’m just thinking on my feet and thinking out loud.

  4. I think that religion is just a string used by the diabolical mind to control the uneducated mind of people who are driven by the blind belief that religion could fulfil the void….

    1. I’ve always wondered why would the God/s who created the world needs worshipping, poojas and rituals. Religion at best becomes a medium to calm the mind of those boggling thoughts to which there are no answers to.

Diabolic mind over unedecated sounds very similar to Marxian categories.. 😊

      1. God has never stated he needs all that we think and do!! That’s to my knowledge! Only those who have attained spiritual wisdom realize that, I think, doing pooja and then doing something contrary to being a human, immediately afterwards does not in any, justify their actions!! Its just an human excuse to show off as being a good human, its just a game! you believe, I support….

        1. I support. they treat gods just like Therefore anthropomorphic. The religious texts are misinterpreted to justify all our deed. We need to stop this good vs bad binary evaluation of people. Who is completely good or bad, just because somebody follows a particular rule/ societal norm does not mean they are good! But I guess an image has to be maintained! So

          1. exactly, an image is maintained and has been for years that no one has ever thought about it as not being normal! Its kind of late in the game to do much now as it will only stir the raw minds to venture in the wrong aggressive way as they are already struggling with terrorism associated with it!!

  5. Who you been talking to kiddo.. 😀😀

I think because they are not very confident about their religion.. In their heart they know what they been taught and told it’s all a lie we put in practicality and reality..😀😀😀

And mostly the so called very religious will argue the most.. because they want to make the others too the same.. If you kow what I mean..

I feel religion is one thing that is over stated.. no religion teaches murder yet most innocent people have been killed in the name of religion.

I had a similar discussion .. With one and the guy threatened to kill me.. wowow I said. . 😁😁.. and now he can’t even look me in the eye..

    1. Hahah! Somebody threatened to kill you! Hahahahaah! On whacky days it is fun tickling a few of these religious folks and get them provoked. The best part is they are so insecure as you said about their religion that they are provoked easily. That’s when the fun begins. It may end with their huffed and puffed walk out, insults, they devalue our family and educational values, up bringing, they may bring up the nation, cows, dogs and cats, everything random is talked about, finally they block us because they can’t face us! 😂😂😂 fun no. Totally my kind of fun! How some people set out to the world to prove themselves worthy of their religon 😛 😛

  6. worst part is people start defending things they never had a say on .. they didn’t choose they just accepted what they were told or forced to accept .. they are like soldiers dying for the king they have never seen they defend even without knowing what they are defending .

    1. True. I think it is a problem with the methods used to educate. They are taught as if there is only one right way, since it is taught since infancy these ideas are internalized and stuck to the marrow. Growing older does nothing because the thinking faculty of the brain and the ego works as preventive measures to think outside these set norms. Wish people would think before they speak and act, rather than just follow. A blind follower is equally dangerous like the ignorant one.

      1. exactly a blind follower is equally dumb but you can’t blame the education system for that . religion tells us never to question it. when a Muslim friend told me I should trust Quran as the word of God I was like wtf how can I be sure without questioning.

            1. The best part is when Christians argue that genesis is true! When it is written that it is made up!! They all need to be tied by the legs and taken for a bungee jump I guess 😂😂
