Easter is around the corner. And Maundy Thursday was just yesterday. It is a Syrian Catholic tradition in parts of central Kerala to celebrate this Thursday with the unleaven bread and what we call as “pal”. Pal is made up of a mixture of jaggery and coconut milk spiced with dry ginger, cardom and cumin seeds. The bread is made from rice powder, mixed with a paste made of grated coconut, shallots, garlic and jeera. Maundy Thursday in pictures. Have a blessed week.
